First, Jesse was promoted to Sergeant at the Police Department the week of December 14th...yay for Jesse! We are excited. As a result of the promotion, he will be going back to Patrol which means he will have to say goodbye to his flexible schedule and weekends off for a while. But that's just part of it, which is nothing we haven't done before.
The following Saturday, December 19th, he was in a car accident. Fortunately, Jesse was by himself and no one was injured. A lady fell asleep at the wheel (at 12:30 in the afternoon) and came into his lane head-on which forced him into the ditch off of the two lane road. The side of his truck collided with a row of trees to avoid a head-on collision, which in turn totaled his truck. We count our blessings every time we think about it. The other driver's insurance has taken full responsibility and as a result, Jesse gets a new truck. Merry Christmas to Jesse!.....kind of.
So now for Christmas.... Chase had a blast. He wasn't really into ripping the paper like I expected him to be, but he had a great time and loved all his new toys. I will be adding more pictures, but here's a start......
