Captain Chase

We took Chase for his first boat ride this weekend. First, we played on the beach, then headed out on the boat. He loved it! I am so excited he enjoyed it because he is still a little timid gettting in the water (pool or lake). Of course his favorite way was to "drive" in Jesse's lap. Hope everyone had a nice Memorial day!

Riding in Daddy's lap is the best.

Hey!
Cheese

Driving is the best way to go.

Best buds, Rece and Chase.

A day with the animals

Jesse has been working weekends the last few months, which has limited our fun days out lately. This Saturday was an exception, so we decided to take Chase to the Zoo. There is a great Zoo in Gainesville about 20 minutes from our house and it's just the right size for a toddler's attention span. When we arrived, we discovered that they have a real (kid-sized) train just outside of the zoo. Chase is really into trains right now, so this was a must for us. Actually, I think riding the train was the highlight of the afternoon, and was worth the drive by itself. Jesse will start having weekends off again in June, so there will be more fun in store for us this summer!

Deep in thought....about riding the train I'm sure!

Here we go!

Warming up to the goat.

Lounging after a long afternoon. Maybe time for a nap?? :)

Almost TWO!

It's hard to believe that our little boy is going to be two very soon! He is becoming more independent and wants to explore. One of his favorite things is to go outside and play.

Bye Bye Mommy!

Ba-eee (Bailey) here I come!

Here's the independence thing....
Swwiiinngg!

He didn't want to go down at first, but a gentle :) push from Aunt Jess and he had fun!

Is it a bad sign that he always goes to the steering wheel??
Here we are riding the Choo Choo at the Arts and Jazz fest. Haha, Chase looks less than enthused.....

Playing the instruments with Aunt Jess... they called this a Percussion Petting Zoo. Clever.

Watching TV. Yes. Definitely a boy.

Playing in the sand at the Lake. The water is still too cold, but I think he's more interested in the sand anyway. We are spoiled to have a beach 10 minutes from our house!
